Field trip 09:00
We are currently planning a road trip to see destinations like Markbygden (wind park), Storforsen (the largest unregulated rapids in Europe), Porjus (hydroelectric plant), H2Green Steel in Boden and Northvolt in Skellefteå.
FAQ and more information
Below, we would like to clarify some practical information and present the conference agenda. The most important thing is that you book your return trip yourself.
Travel
The train to Luleå will be booked and paid for by STandUP for Energy. You can board the train in Stockholm or Uppsala.
Dinner and breakfast will be served on the train.
Closer to the departure date, you will receive additional information about your sleeping compartment. You will not receive a separate ticket.
If you choose to travel by other means, you will need to book and pay for that journey yourself.
You must book your return trip yourself.
If you are a doctoral student, STandUP can reimburse you for the return trip if your PI sends us an invoice.
For the field trips, the bus will return in time for you to take the night train or a late flight.
Hotel
If you travel by train, you will have a sleeping place on the train for the night between Monday, 9/9, and Tuesday, 10/9.
For the night after the conference and the following study visits, you will stay in a hotel booked and paid for by STandUP.
You will need to book and pay for any additional hotel nights yourself.
Field trips
If you are signed up for one or both days of the field trips, you will receive additional information separately.
The bus will return in time for you to catch the night train or late flight on the relevant day.
